Community Birth Preparation Class

Gain Confidence and a Greater Understanding

This six-week series is for parents preparing for a community birth (also known as out-of-hospital, home, or birth center birth).  Taught by a student midwife and childbirth educator of 18+ years, topics include (but are not limited to):

  • the impact of a laboring person’s birth experience on themselves and their family

  • normal physiology of labor

  • preparations to make

  • discussions to have with birth team

  • comfort measures

  • emotional needs during labor

  • birth and postpartum

  • postpartum preparation

  • and so much more!

Fee: $400.00
Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Alternate Scheduling Options
For those with alternate scheduling needs, I offer a private class scheduled around the family’s availability. Please contact Michele by email or phone for scheduling.

Please do not let finances get in the way of receiving the support that you need and want. Note that while I do have a baseline fee for all of my services and classes, I will offer full or partial scholarships, and/or payment arrangements to those in need on a case by case basis.
